NASA's Perseverance rover takes photos on Mars. On July 2, it saw Earth and Mars' moon, Phobos.

The moon moved in front of Earth. Earth disappeared behind the moon. This was the first time people saw this from Mars.

Earth was very far away. It looked like a tiny light dot. The rover camera took many fast pictures.

Scientists call this special event an occultation. The team planned the timing very carefully.
