Ancient Wood Circle Found in Denmark
Workers in Denmark found ancient pieces of wood underground while building. Scientists say there are 45 wooden pieces placed in a big circle. The circle is about 30 meters wide and is thousands of years old. The site is in a town named Aars in northwestern Denmark.
A museum expert named Sidsel Wahlin called this a special discovery. She said the wood circle shows a link to ancient sites in Britain. The famous site called Stonehenge in southern England started around 3000 BC. Scientists think the people who built both sites had connection to each other.
Archaeologists also found an old village, a leader's grave, and a bronze sword. Now, researchers are looking for an inner circle and religious objects like flint arrowheads. They want to find the exact age and purpose of this old place.
